Can you extract save game data files from steam games?
I ask this because there are a few games id like to delete because I don't play them as often as I did, however I don't wish to lose all my progress put into them. I'm wondering is there any way to take out the save files for a game on steam, put them in a folder, then when I wish to come back to the game be able to place them back in the game having them work with the game again? If anyone has prior knowledge or experience with this I would gladly accept your help.

Most games put their saves somewhere in My Documents, usually they are left alone when you remove the game. You can create backups of the saved games, but where in your documents the saves are is game specific and you're better off asking in that particular games forum.
