FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Question/Need help

Hey everybody,

I have a quick question, if I buy this on steam, will it instantly start my 30 day free subscription you get with the pack (at least, I assume you get one since you get one everywhere you buy the game)?

I'm asking for multiple reasons, first of all, I have my trial running still and have a few days left but most importantly since Blade & Soul was released a couple of days ago I've been kinda busy with that and I don't want to waste 30 free days.

However, the 50% offer they have right now on the complete pack with expansions is just too good to pass on... so how will this work?

I have the trial installed through steam, can I just let that end and activate the game (after I already purchased it) once it ends?
Can I use the character I build in the Demo after I activate the subscription?
And can I just wait a bit with activating the 30 days free trial until I'm at a level in BnS (where I have a premium on as well) that makes me able to juggle between the games?

Also, how will you be able to pay for your subscription? I'm going for the EU version and don't have a credit card. I read somewhere that you can pay with paypal through mogstation or whatever..

If someone has any ideas about this I would love to hear them.

im not sure of how will that work but as of my past experiences i believed that once you purchased the game even though your using the demo in creating your account and activate the paid one it will leave as your original account most likely that happens not yet tried in FF XIV i dont know the subscription part hope that helps mate happy gaming!

Well if I check the FF XIV demo information it shows me all the things I can't do but it DOES show that "if you want to continue playing you will have to buy a subscription" so that kinda sounds like you can keep your character. There is a level cap of 20 though, but still, its 15 days of free gaming.

Either way, I really hope someone could tell me about the subscription because if I can somehow bypass the activation right away i'll instantly buy it. If the subscription starts running right away I'm pondering about it.

What I read though is that you NEED a square enix account, so you need to make a seperate account to link to your steam, it isn't fully intergrated in steam. So, if I install the new version over the demo from steam (or remove the demo first) will my 30 days instantly start (and of course see all the other questions I had in my first post :) ).

Edit: Here is a link I found. Do you get a subscription code from the steam version as well? Because if you do, its problem solved really, I can buy the pack now and first play 15 days trial, then enter the code and switch to full. That way my subscription won't start until I enter the code. IF steam gives you one.
