Refund on my Visa Gift card

i bought a game on steam and i didnt like the game. so i got a refund i spent $10.26 through my steam account and the $9.73 through the gift card. i got the $10.26 on steam back but i did not get the $9.73 back on my gift card. why did i not get back my $9.73 does take longer than steam or does not give you the money back on the gift card.

Refunds to other non-Steam wallet payment providers depends on the payment provider's policies and your country's laws governing those payment providers (usually 5-10business/banking days from when the payment provider received it). So the formula is as follows:

X days to review refund request (usually within 24hours )+up to 7 days to issue refund+ Y days it takes your payment method provider to credit your account= Time it takes to get a usable refund.

X is usually 1. Y is usually within 5 days but as said at the top can vary. If you refunded to your Steam wallet the pending balance will convert to usable funds within 7 days.

Also remember not all payment providers support merchant credits/refunds so if your's does not, you will have to wait for them to bounce it back to Steam, Steam to verify it, the Steam to add it to your wallet, which could take a couple of weeks

Support is notoriously slow but they're the only ones who can look into it. Just reply to their responses until you receive a human support rep.
