How do you play splitscreen on games like Borderlands 1 or 2 on a steam machine with on controller and keyboard and mouse?

im pretty sure 2 player split screen does not exist on the pc version of this game.
most pc games even those that have 2 player split screen on console usually dont have that option on pc.
game devs will surely start including it in pc versions in future games now that the line between
console gaming and desktop gaming is blurring.

i could be wrong about this perticular game but i am 99% sure.

Spoodge is correct, there's no official split screen for borderlands - but someone did manage to jerry-rig it, instructions are here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2943265

I'll point out, I don't recommend it, it's 100% unsuported and I doubt anyone will be able to help much if you try it - I only mention it to give you the full information available.
