Laptop 100hz Monitor not working (refresh rate issue)
Hi everyone,

so recently I overclocked my laptops monitor to 100hz refresh rate. It shows 100hz in the Nvidia control pannel and also on the windows settings. I also set the starting options for cs go to "-freq 100", "-refresh 100" and "-refreshrate 100" (without " "). Of course I have set the screen mode to fullscreen (-full).

CS:GO still shows me 75 hz and I cannot imagine why. I tried -windowed -noborder and also fullscreen windowed and could finally get 100hz which felt really different and smooth to me. But I preffer 4:3 1400x1050 @100hz. Technically it should be possible but I have tried everything and nothing worked yet.

Can you guys help me?

Because an OC like that is not a given.
It might work on Windows Desktop, however do not expect it to be able to be applied in each game, possibly due to being Full Screen (which is a seperate refresh from the Desktop) and you might not be able to use that refresh on all resolutions.

With those 100hz settings for CSGO, try running the game in Borderless Windowed Mode.

I hope you have a warranty on the Laptop for quite some time.
As breaking the screen (which could happen at any time due to OC refresh rate) are expensive to replace, and usually one of most PITA parts to physically replace sometimes. TBO I would just hookup a better Monitor and have the game run on that, rather than even bother with OC'ing your laptop screen.

Thanks for your respond.
I've written that I tried the windowed borderless option and it worked. I want to know if it is possible on a fullscreen.
It also worked on fullscreen windowed but if you choose this option you cannot change the resolution anymore.

Don't worry about my laptop ;)
