Credit card charge back
I recently got a charge back on my credit card for some unknown reason. I have been VAC banned due to this. I wrote up a ticket in hopes I could get unbanned. How long does it take to get a response. And Im not sure if its a full VAC ban because my VAC status says in good standing. But I cant make purchases or recieves gifts. Anyone got an idea?

It's not a VAC ban, it's an account suspension for doing a chargeback.

There's no set time of when they will reply. Some get a reply within 3 days, others might get one within 3 weeks. Just wait.

So after the 9 week period the account gets restored back to normal? First time this has happened not sure how any of this works?! Or do I need to repurchase the game that got charged back? I no longer have the CC or am using the CCC so I wouldnt be able to purchase with that. It would have to be from a diff card

Does it say how long it's suspended for?

This content has been removed from your account.
This account will have restricted functionality for 9 weeks.

This account will be restricted for 9 weeks (until Mar 14). Purchasing, gifting, trading, cd-key activation, playing online on VAC enabled game servers, and Steam Community access have been disabled. If the chargeback is removed, this restriction will be lifted and the content will be returned to your account.

Once the restriction has been lifted, the Visa card used will no longer be an accepted method of payment on Steam.

Try to contact your credit card provider and ask for insight into why this chargeback happened.

I already know why. The card was stolen and some charges got charged back. I no longer use the CCC themselves nor the card

The account is restricted and if the chargeback isn't resolved within 9 weeks, it will stay permanently. Valve has zero tolerance for attempts at fraud, or events that look like fraud.

When you inform your credit card company of a stolen card, they ask you which charges are fraudulent and which ones are legitimate. Did you just tell them to chargeback everthing?

You will have to talk to your credit card company and get them to reverse the chargeback on the Steam charges you reversed (presumably unintentionally) when you cancelled your card.

Otherwise the suspension could become permanent (although sometimes it apparently doesn't and you can resume as normal, I expect it depends on the value of the chargeback).

Chargeback was for $59.99. They wont do anything cause the account is now closed.
