Log file issue and shortcut problem
Hey guys I am in need of desparate help. I built a new pc and have 2 drives in it. one ssd for os and main games, and an hdd for miscellaneous storage. I installed steam on the os drive, but tried to install one of the games on the hdd. it works, but that game's log file is randomly showing up in my documents folder, and the shortcut for the game does not work. Does anyone know how to fix this. I like a clean documents folder with only important stuff there. i am on windows 10.

There's nothing to fix, the game wants to write it's file into your shell:Personal folder. This is just the way the game was programmed. You can always hide the file if you don't want to see it.

"This is just the way the game was programmed" sorta means it's about this game, doesn't it?

I don't. Do you? "Don't work" can mean 1000000 different things. Ok, in reality it's more like <10 different things, still different things.

ok well its the issue where the shortcut shows up on my desktop. the shortcut logo is incorrect and looks like the planet earth. when i click on it it gives an error that says the internet shortcut cannot be opened

Check the shortcut's properties. Like if the command to execute is still right and the icon file the shortcut uses exists.

what if i told you that i just attempted to create a shortcut and it worked just fine....

If you did that, I wouldn't know if you're done now or you still want to debug the broken shortcut.
