I would attempt todo a steam backup of the games you play the most and move them somewhere temporary like the desktop, uninstall steam, but also go to the steam directory and delete the steam folder, run ccleaner registry cleaner, reboot, reinstall steam. Sounds like somewhere along the lines maybe a recent upgrade or a failed steam update or a system crash is likely the cause.
Np, and ohh I see, yeh ive come across that before, some types of cards can become overloaded and they fail, requireing them to be unplugged and plugged in again. If the wireless adapter has an actual program/utility you can use rather than using Windows built in wireless features, use that instead and your problem should go away. Unless the adapter doesnt have a utility for your version of windows in which case thats a compatibility problem and likely means your adapter is getting old.
I stuck with my Belkin since. Seems like there's a weird issue with the adapter and Steam itself. It's a shame since my A6210 just sits on my shelf collecting dust now.
I have no idea why this happens but it has worked flawlessly for me:)
I'm using Google Chrome and when I stream from youtube at the same time as I'm downloading from Major Geeks the steam download goes faster and smoother:)
Go figure;)
