Google DNS broke Steam sites
Not sure whether to put here or the HW discussions.

Anyway here is the story. Last week, my household just upgraded from ADSL 4/512k to fiber 30/5. It was fast enough I say. When I tried to use Steam website, it keeps "loading" until it says it failed to load site. Reloading won't give a damn. It just try and instantly fail. Surprisingly the Steam client works fine.

Finding out that the problem is that the IPv4 of Google DNS has "lost connection". I decided to Google the result and use that to fix the problem. It didn't.

Right now I'm posting this problem without the DNS applied. Is there anything I can do to further fix this problem?

Basically it means your machine has old dns data cached. you need to flush it. the process varies on operating system.

I did. But did not solve the problem. Every. Single. Time.
verify your dns settings are set to automatic would be the next step.
Well finally solved this problem.
Turns out it lies at the Network Connections settings. There is a bunch of TAP-Win32 Adapter OAS lying over there. Uninstall this with Device Manager and it is solved. Thanks anyway. Appreciated it.
