You need to own the basegame to activate the DLC for it.

After you've got both the basegame and the DLC on your account:

  1. Should you download the game, the soundtrack will automatically be downloaded with the game installation in the game's own folder (Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files). (You can toggle this auto-installation off if you don't want the soundtrack to be downloaded by right mouse clicking the game > View Downloadable Content and then unticking the [Install] -button)

  2. If you want to download the soundtrack separately without downloading the basegame, you will have to resort to using the Steam client console.
    [Windows] + [R]
    steam://open/console
    download_depot <app-ID> <depot-ID>

Then the soundtrack will be downloaded under
    *\Steam\SteamApps\content\app_<app-ID>\depot_<depot-ID>\*

Find out the depot-ID from i.e. SteamDB.

    • APP-ID 252330
    • Depot-ID for Soundtrack: 324720

Purchase the soundtrack and/or the game, if that's required.
