Game saves going onto the (C:) drive while games are stored on my (D:) Drive
Alright, let me start off by saying i've had this problem for a while now and i've been able to counter it by removing mods from other games, but it just kept comming back.

So i have the games on my (D:) drive, but for some reason the saves seems to be comming on the (C:) drive. I dont know if this is usual since the steam app is stored under my (C:) drive, yet if that is the cause how to i change it so the save of the games come under the (D:) drive where the games are installed.

How do i know that the game saves arent just bugged and it's not because they are stored in the (C:) drive: Well whenever i try to save a game the the game crashes due to the fact that my (C:) drive is full. Whenever i remove a file from the (C:) drive it works again.

I really cant get around this problem since how i see it the games downloaded on the (D:) drive should be saved under there right? Or am i extremely stupid and i should've put my Steam in my (D:) drive right away? It's bugging me alot how the entire game can be put under my (D:) drive except the saves.

PS: I really appriciate any help i could get, i do not exactly have a good history with trying to move steam files and i usually end up screwing up, so unless you have an detailed explaination i might have to reinstall steam. Thanks if you reply :steamhappy:

Games will generally save in one of three places:

1) Steamdata folder
2) Inside your Documents folder (usually in a "My Games" subfolder)
3) Somewhere else

That being said, if your C drive (assuming your OS is on that drive) is so full you can't save a game, worse issues could occur than simply not being able to save games. You should look for something else that's taking up space on your C drive (for example, if you have any games or large applications installed there).

Well like i said i've tried getting more space by delting files, mods etc. Yet the save games keep hitting me right back in a few days after they've stacked up. My most recent problem, which i assume is caused by the same problem of save files is that suddenly i cant load save games. I noticed this today with my Total war Atilla game where i have a couple of save files. I have pretty no knowledge whatsoever about this so, other than sending screenshots through giazo to explain the situation i can only understand some basic explainations without screwing up.

PS: Thanks for trying to help, although i think you would've needed a bit more detail from me to understand the situation. :)

try free space on C - a lot of programs that need to be on the system drive
and each huge monstrous program has a counterpart, which does the same thing, only has a volume of less than 100-400 times
use symlinks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link
resize partitions
buy new hdd
analize what happen https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor
it's your choice
