The only other way would be to rescale the values in the 0-100% range in the image to values closer to what it actually is. For example, if say, 1000 was the what the game considered the 100% value(not sure what the actual values are), you'd want to use 1200 as the max since it's closer to the edge, and reconvert it to a 0-1000 range to functionally remove it.
The x360ce.ini and XInput.dll files could possibly be edited to do that, but I defintely couldn't tell you how to do it(it would likely require some extra programming to get that conversion to work), and the game itself would have to be compatible with those files.
A TitanOne adapter( $60 ) and Gtuner's MaxReppaper plugin has a sensitivity option for the trigger's, but I haven't used the plugin for that, and couldn't tell you if that would solve your problem.
Overall, it'd be a lot of work to change that, and the max value could change on a per-game basis based on developer.
