How long does it take for steam to approve a refund ?
I purchased a painting software on Jan 2nd , played for 1 hour and decide to refund it. But haven't received any reply yet.

I know I can get my money within 7 days after the refund been accepted , but when will they accept it ? I thought if I meet the refund requirement it would be quick.

I tried to refund a few games on June 2015 and none of them succeed. I also cancelled my refund once to request again. Does steam think I'm abusing refund system? Now I'm worrying they will never look into it.

BTW English is not my native language so sorry if I didn't make it clear.

It depends on what games you refunded, it has to be under 2 hours and under a month right?

I got a successful refund, I believe it took like 1-2 weeks.

Sorry if this doesn't help

That's an expensive program, good luck

Less than 14 days from purchase and less than two hours played.
Also, Steam measures it as less than 120 minutes, so you get no leeway

Steam will let you know if you are abusing the system and have lost your refund privileges. However you will likely incur more scrutiny if your account has been flagged due to excessive refunds.

I don't think I'm abusing refund system though, because I never successfully refunded any product yet...

Did you submit a request through the appropriate link https://help.steampowered.com/ ?

Some users inadvertantly submit a ticket via their Support account which isn't the correct method. Refund requests should be processed within 24 hours.

Sure. And received an automatic E-mail immediately saying that steam has received my request and they'll look into it .
I also submitted a ticket and didn't get any reply yet.
I think steam hates me:meatytears:

Continue waiting and hopefully you'll get a response in the coming days. It was the weekend a few days ago and there could be a backlog from the Christmas period but you are eligble for a no questions asked refund it seems so you will be entitled to it in due course.

You woke up a 5.5 year old thread for this?

The sale goes on for another 9-10 days. As long as it is a simple refund to your wallet I doubt you'll miss the sale. And there's always more sales to come. Whatever it is you want to buy, you most certainly don't *need* it.
