left mouse button not registrating all clicks, please help!
hey!

some time ago my mouse had to be changed because it was getting really old. everything went fine with that mouse. but when i plugged a new one in(while playing team fortress 2), only 1 in +-10 clicks of my left mouse button was getting registered, the other buttons are working fine. I tried plugging my old mouse back in, i tried to use my touchpad(i have a 6 months old HP laptop) and i tried another brandnew mouse but it kept registrating only some of my left-mouseclicks.

the weird part is, is that i only have this problem with games that are connected to steam. on other games my mouse works just fine (for example minecraft, league of legends or in general)

i have this problem with multiple games from different developers (metro last light, prototype, team fortress 2, spiral knights etc.)
i removed steam from my computer and reinstalled it but the problem is still there.
it also seems to be worse when im moving around ingame instead of standing still.
the people at my local pc-store didn't know what was going on...

the mouse that i plugged in was a ''Trust'' mouse with ''bluespot precision''.
i hope someone knows how to solve this without reinstalling windows because that would be a lot of work and i just want to play haha.

if you've heard/know anything about this problem or how to solve it, please tell me!
thanks!

he fixed it! all he had to do was changing one simple setting in windows.
(keep in mind that im running windows 8.1 and the terms are translated from dutch)

he searched for 'mouse and touchpad settings'
and switched the delay of the touchpad to ''none(always active)''

that solved the problem completely!

I solved the problem by restauring my computer a few days ago.

My solution for this (in Windows 10) was:

Settings -> Devices -> Touchpad -> Touchpad Sensitivity (dropdown) -> Most Sensitive

You're welcome :)
