You have to do it now, once they expire they are useless. So buy or trade quickly
What a farce. I was at 9/10 for the last few days and missed the sale's ending, so now I have 9 useless cards. I'm done with Valve. If there was a way to remove the big STORE button at the top, I'd do it.
The cards are expired, the time on them was pretty clear.
Not sure why your upset, they were free cards that were suppose to be used during the sale, then they are gone.
As in why bothering creating it in the 1st place then? Valve is just being stupid sorry it has to be said. If you making card that is free with expired date why bothering creating it in the 1st place and it is pointless as what are they trying to do or what the point just don't create it. Make a cards that will not be expired.
Let's not be blinkered here. Valve sets these cards up intentionally because they make tons of money on them. They give these "free cards" to people, but they make damn sure there aren't enough chances to complete the set for free, and add an unnecessary time limit to them to give a sense of urgency.
All of this is to force people to sell their cards between each other. And each time, Valve is making money from it. Those free cards are making Valve more money than you're implying.
Then don't worry about completing badges for arbitrary "achievements" and bits of digital bling? All of this is extraneous to the whole point of Steam: having easy access to your libary of games and decent prices.
It also affects the size of your friends list. But the days of decent prices from Steam have long since passed.
