How do you tame dinos without getting killed by other dinos? Is there an easier way than just hitting it with a club until it gets knocked out? Every time I try I die because I can't knock it out fast enough.

Don't hit it with a club, just use the slingshot and keep your distance. Don't attack a pack of dinosaurs blindly, try to find the solitary ones.

Does a slingshot do much more damage? I didn't really bother with that because I thought it would only really be able to take down Dodos...

I tamed a Triceratops and a raptor only with slingshots LOL, I'm no expert at the game so I don't know about the damage output but it seems to work well. And yeah, you should post it on ARK's game discussion forum, not in Steam help.

Mechanical Mushroom get a moter and pestol and craft narcotics from spoiled meet and narco berry's and level up to get a bow and craft tranq arrows or use a sling shot but dont use a club on a predetor because your most likely going to die no matter what unless you have full flak armor on a raptor or something, get a sling shot or a bow with tranq arrows:)

And while ark was on the free weekend i downloaded it and the nafter the weeked i wasnt able to play it it said i needed to pay for it after i alreayd had it installed:( anyone know why after i got it from the free weeked why it made me have to buy it so thats why i dont have the game:(
