Stopping DLC downloading with game?
Is there a way to stop steam from downloading the DLC along with the game. I bought Borderlands GOTY ed and the download is 10GB!
Have tried unticking the install boxes on the dlc's

Right click the game in your library > properties > DLC - now uncheck them all, or only the ones you do not want to be installed.

Open the Steam client. Go to your library. Left-click Borderlands. On the right, uncheck the boxes of any DLC.

yeh that doesn't stop the download of the dlc

Start the download for the game, go to downloads, right-click on the game's icon, view downloadable content, then uncheck the DLC you don't want.

Was there a reason to necro this 4 years old discussion?

Also as hotsauce pointed this is a new layout, and it's easy to uncheck the DLC you do not want, please keep in mind, that you want to uncheck the DLC's 1st before starting the download.

No! How tf do I stop steam from automatically downloading dlc in the First place???? I don't want this to happen! Period! I don't Wanna have to uninstall things Every Single Time I install any game I have dlc for! Why doesn't anyone know how to Do this????

Uncheck box for DLC 1st before downloading...
