'Garry's Mod - Workshop Content' won't update [RESOLVED]

The 'Garry's Mod - Workshop Content' update is stuck on 0 bytes/ 0 bytes. When trying to pause my downloads or put another update in queue, the same update gets stuck on 'Stopping' thus preventing me from updating anything.

I tried resetting my computer and unsubscribing to a workshop item, but still no luck.

I've tried this, but again the Workshop update is still stuck on 'Stopping' and the cache checking window is stuck on 0%. I've now tried uninstalling the game but now the update is displaying '#Steam_downloads_not_installed' and is still preventing me from updating anything and can't be paused.

Now it's preventing me from installing the game, this is really starting to get on my nerves.

You could try what I did to fix the issue. To fix it, you could try clicking on steam in the top left and then clicking on exit. It should bring up a pop-up saying that it is ending the download. Then click on the close steam button and re-launch steam.

I managed to fix the problem by resetting the Steam files.

Sorry I forgot to post here that this has been resolved, thank you anyway.
