Where do I get the signature?

Hi everyone, I have rcreated a steam account and I purchased the game Ori and the Blind Forest the for a friend of mine (12 year old boy). I for myself do not intend to play computer games :-). I have bought the game only for him. So I decided to buy the game as a gift.
The problem: Now I wanted to send the link to my friend, but that's not possible, because I have to put in a signature. Where do I get this signature for the game? I do not have the software steam installed yet (because I dont wanna play), Is this the problem perhaps?

I have the receipt for my purchase.

What are the next steps for my friend? I assume:
1. He has to create a steam account.
2. He has to install the steam software.
3. He can play Ori?

if something fails you can resend it from your inventory.

he also will be automatically added to your steam friends list accepting your gift,.
