Family sharing issue... Can't see all shared games.
So, as the title indicates, a friend and I shared our libraries. We authorized both our comps by logging into each other respective accs and etc.

I've like 50 games and he has 29, but I only can see 13 of his games and he can't view all my games either.

Any solutions to this? :/

Not all games are sharable to begin with.

Among those 13, do you see games that are both installed and uninstalled?

Some of the shown games to me are installed and some aren't. On his computer, but I find it odd, because I shared my library with a previous friend and I was able to see all her games even though not all were installed.

If you're seeing both installed and uninstalled, then the Steam Family Sharing should be functioning as it should. Don't forget you won't be getting duplicate entries. (If two friends own the same game, you will only see it from the user who shared it to you first)

Typically when you've lost authorization, only the currently installed games will show up from the said library.

Games that use third party DRM, like Uplay for example, aren't usually shown in Steam Family Sharing.

There's flat out exceptions too, like H1Z1 to name one.

That red box is a good indicator generally.

Mmh, okay, thank you for your reply. This helped to clear the confusion, because it seemed odd to me at first. :steamhappy:

Edit: I hope you see this, but what about games that don't use DRM, but I can't see them and the same goes for my games in his library?

Can you name one of the games that you don't see?

Bioshock series. I know it was DRM at some point, but didn't they removed it?

They did.

BioShock 2 was originally Games for Windows Live, but it now has the Steamworks -features.

I tested on my alt. just to be sure nothing has changed since my brother played BioShock Infinite from my library.

Just to be sure, is your friend currently residing in the same country as you? Some games have region restrictions, which do apply to Steam Family Sharing.

Can region-restricted content be shared across regions?
No, any region restrictions will remain in place when lending or borrowing content.

Yeah, I think it's a issue with region restrictions, because I live in Germany(if it comes to games, I really hate to live here...) and he's in Canada and I saw on the store page this:

Low violence: German low violence version only available with German Language(my steam is in English).

That's a major bummer, because xmas drained my money and I thought I could finally play the Bioshock games, because he got them from the sale. But oh well, I'll live through it.

Thanks so much for your help, again! :steamhappy:
