Escrow bot, need help understanding

A big window poped up for steam that said there was a problem with my authenticator and securtity problems (I cant remember and should of taken a screenshot) and it told me to give my items to a escrow but that held my csgo items (an escorw bot took $200 worth of my csgo skins/knife). I scanned my pc and found some trojans I don't seem to know how I got. I am now confused, Does the bot hold my items for 3 days than give my stuff back or has my stuff been taken away from me now? I really need help understanding this Escrow stuff.

Escrow is bascially a thing valve added that holds items for 72 hours i think. When you trade not using mobile authenticator within the 72 hours any of the 2 traders can cancel the trade and have their items returned if both parties have mobile authenicator and accept the trade through the app the trade will go through with no wait.

Yeah but I didnt do a trade with anyone and I saw the bot had not had the knife/skins I traded

I thought it was a security measure to keep my items safe from the trojans I had, or was it to send the items to another trader?

If you didnt trade with anyone then your items should still be there check your trade history

I checked my history, went to the bot, and the knife isnt there, not even my awp and ak, the p90 was though.

Also escrow is not a bot its a system

really? It said escrow bot soo I just thought it was steam bots. Soo why is my knife not in that bots inv?

There is no such thing as an escrow bot. Cancel the trade now or your items will be gone.
