Is it bad using usb to play games on?
I'm running low on memory on my computer and I have a 128 gb flash drive. Will downloading games on my flash drive and playing them on the flash drive do harmful damage to it?

I think the bigger issue you will have is that the games do not run well off a USB stick.

I tried playing the game on the usb and it works fine

I use a micro SD. Sort of similar to a USB in a way.
It's not exactly bad, I recommend playing small games on it. Not high intensed gaming ones since the speed can be slower
