I'm not receiving emails from Steam.

Recently, I was trying to open up my library to a friend's account, since I don't often use Steam for anything more than an hour a day. So I tried activating the family sharing options, but then I discovered that you had to be logged in on their computer to activate. So I did that, and it told me I had to activate the account on the computer and I waited for the email, and it never came. I tried several times and waited overnight and still, no email. I then tried changing my password, just to see if it was just the activation email that wasn't arriving, but the password one didn't come through, either.

It is not an issue with the email address, I know which address is linked the account and to be sure, I have checked all three of my active email addresses, but none of them have received any messages from Steam, in the last two days.

Is there anything I can do to prompt the emails to come through? Should I keep trying to activate it until one eventually comes through? Or should I just wait?

Been trying to start gmod from a shared account but it comes up with checking for updates every single time. And ineed to get into my account that i cant access because they ARE NOT sending emails out. RIP

This problem have almost 24 hours. Gmail can receive emails back from steam but HOTMAIL and YAHOO is broken.

Changing your account email address will prevent trading for 5 days.

All this crap is because steam tries to force users change GMAIL?

what the hell is wrong with steam? they have problems all days in this holiday sales... one after one and non stop.

They don't say nothing about problems or late too much for inform/solved. (even when they are big fail in security or big errors in their plataform)

what they want? people can't buy more games? because this cards and big offers are making they recive less money and they want to stop this?

Same here. I had to switch to a gmail.com account and then it worked. Highly annoying. It's not working for my son either and I just set him up a new account so we can play ARK together. Ticking me off.

NO dude, this is not a simple configuration problem!

I have all setup ok this is my 8 ALT acc. and i have many more. I know all configurations in steam.

That is because i know this problems is not affecting GMAIL users.

Yep.

For just play is not problem change to GMAIL but i need make trades and sell big amounts in the market before holiday sales ending and if i change i have 5 days restriction...

After 5 days all prices drop and i will need sale all 50% or 70% cheaper. That is too many $$$ loss for me.

Guys, I changed the email address I was using for Steam to a Google Mail address and I receive the messages within less than a second every time. It is only the Hotmail and Yahoo services that are suffering. I would recommend it.
