DPI is like a blend of resolution and frame rate for your mouse: the higher the DPI the more accurate it is.
Orr.. stick with the common 400/800/1200. A lot of CSGO pros are on 400dpi and I use 800 though my mouse says it can reach 3600. But I'm thinking of trying 1600 and halfing my sensitivities, since I'm use moue acceleration it could improve the accuracy of the acceleration curve alot, but I worry it could make it 'too' accurate and pickup movement and irregularities that 800dpi wouldn't notice.
But really it's sensitivity you want to adjust.
