Missing games from library
Just short of a year ago I bought Counter Strike Global Offensive and it popped up in my library. I could play it without any issues for a few months.
I share my cousins computer with her so she figured we might as well do family sharing so that I can play all of her games.
It continued to work fine for a few weeks before disappearing from my steam library. I tried showing "all games" in the library and it wasn't there, so I tried searching for it by name and it wasn't there again. I had to go to the store and find the CSGO page to actually play it. This didn't bother me that much because it wasn't much of a process to do, but I recently bought another game and again it isn't showing up in the library.
My cousin stopped our family sharing from her account and I did the same from mine. We both opted out of the beta as well and restarted the computer but CSGO and the other game still aren't showing up in my library.

Thank you for any help in advance :))

As I was typing this, the download for the second game actually finished, more or less confirming that I do actually own it but I just checked my library and - you guessed it - it isn't there.
I'm not sure if it helps at all, but the second game is H1Z1.

The games are listed here:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/annasoulsby13/games/?tab=all

Therefore, hold down [Windows] and [R] -keys and try these commands and see if they're hidden or something.

H1Z1
steam://nav/games/details/295110

CS:GO
steam://nav/games/details/730

Thank you for replying so quickly! I should have also mentioned that my cousin is seeing them in her library absolutely fine. I will still try what you suggested out and get back to you :))
Thanks!

EDIT: I went ahead and tried those commands but it only took me to my Steam library and highlighted Marvel Heroes 2015.

Does this apply on the list on the left too?

i.e. For me it highlights CS:GO with 730; while it might say something else on the right.

EDIT: http://i.imgur.com/j3aDhuh.png This is what I mean.

Yup, highlights Marvel Heroes 2015 on the left and shows the details of it (play button etc) on the right.
I'm not very tech savvy so i'm sorry if I misunderstood what you meant! :))

If you got the Windows' Run prompt with Win+R, and you applied steam://nav/games/details/(app-ID) like above, then you did it right.

Removed games wouldn't show up under your profile > [All Games] though, which is why I doubt it's the Help Desk -situation.

Well, if you'll want to check regardless, click [Help > Steam Support] on the top of the client, then click [Games, Software, Etc] and see if you can find the games via there and if there's anything that hints that they're not in your library.

If all else fails, this gets a bit techy but..

  1. Navigate yourself to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\85803740\7\remote

  2. Double click sharedconfig.vdf
      _
Use the Web service to find the correct program
      :correctamundo:
Select a program from a list of installed programs

  3. [OK]

  4. Choose WordPad and untick the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file

  5. [OK]

  6. Hold down CTRL and F to bring up [Find] and type in 730
You'll get an entry like this
    "730" { "LastPlayed" "UNIX timestamp" "CloudEnabled" "1" }
  7. Exit the Steam -client at this point.

  8. Change the line to something like this:
    "730" { "LastPlayed" "UNIX timestamp" "CloudEnabled" "1" "tags" { "0" "Anna's Testing Category" } }
  9. Save the changes (CTRL+S)
  10. Restart Steam and see if you can find the game in [Anna's Testing Category]

H1Z1 is same principle but with APP-ID 295110

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I followed your steps and am looking at the WordPad document as we speak. Under 730 it doesn't list "LastPlayed", Instead it actually lists "Hidden" "1".
This seems like an obvious thing to turn to 0, but I wanted to check with you before doing anything stupid haha.

EDIT: Also H1Z1 is right above it, and its only category is "Hidden" "1".

Exit Steam, turn the Hidden from 1 to 0
Then save the file and restart Steam.

After that they should no longer be in the [Library > Games > Hidden] then.

I'm pretty sure it should've found the games with the browser protocol in that case, but..

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Worked like a charm! Thank you so much for your help and patience :))

It seems like such a little thing to go to the store page for the game, but if I had to do it with every game from now on.. well..

Glad to hear it's working!

Apologies for going by just the browser protocol, and then immediately jumping to local files.

If this happens ever again, check here first:
