store.steampowered redirected
I had to upgrade my internet router. Now whenever I launch Steam and the store comes up, the featured store page automatically redirects me to the Xfinity activation page. I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it, and I've tried going to other parts of the store, and they work fine. It's just the featured page that redirects me! I've tried reinstalling steam, restarting my computer, and even refreshing my Steam files. Nothing seems to work, and right in the middle of the winter sale!

If anyone can help that would be great.

Go to your internet settings and clear your history then to your browser and do the same including cookies, then in internet settings set the home page to https://www.google.com/ do the same for the steam home page in the web brower settings and your primary browser. This should stop the redirect?

It helped on my internet browser, but not within the Steam app. It still redirects me to the router activation page, and I've already activated the router.

In steam go to settings, web browser and delete all cookies and set https://www.google.com/ as homepage or have you done that?

That worked! I had to delete the link already set in the bar, then accept it. It set it as a blank tab, then from there I put http://www.google.com/ back into it and it works! Thank you!

I am having the same problem, I am getting redirected to xfinity activation. I have reinstalled steam cleared browser cache and cookies, changed homepage url for steam, activated xfinity (again?) and nothing seems to work.

It actually shows the store page url for a second but then redirects to the activation page.

I had the same issue after upgrading my modem. I was able to fix it by exiting Steam and deleting the C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache folder.
