GCFscape crashes on launch
GCFscape has suddenly decided to crash on launch when I open it. I've tried multiple methods to fix this including installing previous versions, installing the required Microsoft C++ packs and even using the standalone program but no method has worked so far. If you have any suggestions please drop a comment.

Thats a blast from the past, i didnt know gcfscape was even a thing anymore. Steam converted from GCF to ACF/NCF and the common folder ages ago. For any left over GCF files you can defrag from the Steam client now.

What else in GCFScape were you using?

Mainly I use GCFs to open .vpks. Only about a week ago though the program suddenly decided to crash upon opening.
