Every time I'm in a trade and I add something in the boxes, at the bottom it says "The trade Will be held for 72 hours" or something like that. I don't really know what it is, I didn't really get the whole escrow new trading system and how it works. So no one wants to trade with me. I haven't been able to sell or buy anything from other players because of this. People say it's got to do with this mobile authenticator in your smartphone. Yes, I do have a smartphone. I did the whole mobile authenticator set up thing, at the end of the whole thing, it says "Success! Your phone as been added as a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator." So I believe I can get rid of the 3 days (72 hours) however when ever I put something up on a trade box at the bottom it still says the trade will be held for 72 hours. So I don't know.

I'm I missing something?
Or do we have to confirm something after we accept the trade or something?

If the party you are trading with doesn't have the mobile authenticator set up, it will still take 72 hours. Instant trading only occurs if both parties involved with the trade have the MA set up. Also if you set up your MA less than 7 days ago, you might still be waiting for the inital 7 day cooldown to end.

Yes, you do also need to be confirming the trades. Do you have Confirmation of Trades enabled? "You will receive an email or a notification in the Steam Mobile App to confirm trade offers which move items from your account."

Click the Edit Profile button then click the My Privacy Settings tab. If Confirmation of Trades is set to Disabled, click the circle by Enabled then click the Save Changes button.

The system camt return to you, the system is incapable of doing that.
Items arent returned either, thats the whole poimt of exchanging items! If you want your items to return, dont trade them in the first place.
