How long does it take for Steam to verify my purchase?

I bought three games about an hour ago. The screen was stuck on working for 10 minutes. I checked my library and the games are in there but I am unable to start downloading due to the verification. I used my debit card, so it isn't a PayPal thing. Never had this happen before.

Used a MasterCard. Also, the games are still in my cart, though it says I own all three.

Same here, it just got stuck on "Working". Eventually giving me an orange error message saying there was a problem with my transaction and I should click on my account settings. I clicked it and all I see is a black screen with "404" as the title.

Update - Now I no longer have the games in my library? I have the funds in my bank account...

I'm having this issue as well. I picked up a few games and it froze on the check out. The funds are still in my bank but the games show up in my library and will not download. I can't install or rebuy them because apparently steam is still finalizing the purchase. This sale has been a disaster so far.

Okay, so apparently when the transaction froze and was stuck on working it bugged or something. After an hour the games were removed from Steam and I was able to repurchase the games and it went through instantly.
