400 KB/s Is this normal? Server issue?
Hey so I've been getting a download speed from around 400 to 430 KB/s and others on this site seem to be getting at least 2MB... I know I don't have high speed internet but this seems like it's either a cap or a server lag.

Is anyone else having slower speeds? (trying to install fallout 4 btw) heh


windows 10 home
Intel(R) core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
ram 8 gb
64 bit

Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG wireless network adapter (yeah checked for updates)


no other computers in my house are on. possibly phones and tablets but i doubt they would take up that much bandwith right?

0.92 mbps upload speed
ping 160 ms

technology sucks :P

And what speed do you load in steam?
2mbit would be around 250kbyte

400 KB is 3.2 mbits, which is 50% better than that speedtest's report of your Internet connection.

oh.... well... lol that was a lot of time I spent trying to boost speed lol
My internet is crap lol. It would have been so awesome if I had come to that realization sooner lol

skyrim seemed to take like an hour... which is why i was shocked. this is going on 5 hours now. this game is going to be EPIC lol

heh this is odd... I have a feeling I've met folks who can compete or even beat my tech skills... Not something I see every day living in the hicks lol

Lol and my internet speed is 3.1mbits/s but i still get a horrible speed of 120KB/s.
