Lost account details? Steam support useless

Its been offline for 8 years. I have no idea what the email is associated with it. Is there any way to contact steam support anymore?

I noticed the support option on this site is just a drop down menu its not very useful.

All I have is the account name.

I was obviously smoking too much weed at the time so the email, and password is lost from the catacombs of my teenage mind.

Please do not send me to the support section on this website because its useless. This account has been offline for 8 years it is mine, and, your support section runs me through the same questions I can't answer. It isn't worth a lot its just the principal of the matter.

If anyone can help I appreciate it.

Proof of ownership will also need to be submitted on top.

If you do not have this or cannot remember other information attributed to your account then you will not be able to recover it.

You have to answer their questions. How else are you going to prove it is your account?

If people could recover accounts with just the account name then scammers would be able to easily capture accounts. If you have proof of ownership then you can easily prove the account is yours.

The account is in my name. What more proof do you need? The account was last used by me 8 years ago. By natural law if I write an affidavit unless rebutted stands as the truth. Again they have lost my business I am not paying a notary when they should have a support staff that is man or wombman they have automated everything so they don't deserve my fiat enough said.

Steam requires the level of proof they ask for. If you haven't used your account for 8 years then your loss of business to Valve isn't much and if you have absolutely no proof whatsoever then your account can't have any real value.

Account names don't mean anything and is not valid proof for obvious reasons.

Your name doesn't matter. You need proof of purchase, a payment method that you've used on that account.

Proof of Ownership is established by submitting payment information previously used on the account or providing retail product codes that have been activated through Steam.

what stands out to me in this thread is that OP doesnt seem to realize he is responsible for his account and he didnt take care of it , and he's here looking for someone to fix it for him ,

How in the world is it Steam Support's fault that YOU don't have any of the information needed to prove you're the owner of the account?

Steam needs a retail product key or a payment method to recover your account. Any one can say my name is john smith so that's my account.

I have no idea what email its associated to I am pretty tired of this company and its customers are equally sarcastic facetious useless consooomers. Again I am happy to stop using steam and do real life the game. You haven't used the account for 8 years. Why is it such a big deal now that you need to get it back? You don't think Steam has a right to be suspicious enough to protect an 8-year dormant account from someone who can't remember the email address they used when it was created?

First, this is a userforum, no one in here can help you.

That said, you expect Valve to bend the rules of security and hand over an account you have absolutely no proof is yours. Nope, not going to happen and thank god for that, it would be a nightmare if random people could claim accounts willynilly.

You have not used the account for 8 years and it's all cdkeys, I can see Valve is losing a great customer when you walk as you say.
