""REL/Relocation.h(548): failed to open file" - This is from a plugin that is being loaded with something other than SKSE and is using the Address Library. The plugin and probably the loader need to be updated."

I'll keep you posted if I can figure it out, I believe the Address Library (Mod) needs to be updated for the current SSE build.

The mod Address Library DOES need to be updated but there's a work around for now.

Download this mod:

(If the mod cant find your game file, go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition" and select "SkyrimSE" and run the downgrade patcher mod)

Make sure your Skyrim script extender is build 2.0.20 (runtime 1.5.97)

there was an update for the address library, but I still get this error message. does someone have a solution? :/

If you have Engine Fixes mods 1 and/or 2... they don't work with the recent update. I tunred mine off and now i only need to let the game work with the new SKSE update.

Actually, if installed properly, the current version of Engine Fixes works with the updated game. The only reason it would not work would be if you have the old version installed for the pre-update version of the game and are using the current version of SSE, or if it was not properly installed.

Nowadays that error means more likely than not that you have a version mismatch, easy enough to make sure everything is the correct version.

I've done a full fresh re-install of skse & engine fixes and the game will only boot if engine fixes is disabled. Enlighten me on what you mean by "installed properly"?

You need to install Part 1 with a mod manager and it must be for your version of the game (either version 1.5.97 or 1.6.353) and you need to install Part 2 manually (works for both versions).

Read the Sticky Post in the Comment/Post section by Wolfpack49 on the SSE Engine Fixes mod page and follow it exactly.
