"Show only games that run on Linux" Doesn't work at all!
When you click the little Linux penguin to "Show only games that run on Linux" Nothing happens.
I would expect the button to cause only Linux native and possible Proton supported titles to show in the library.
This is not the case however, When you click it, it only turns blue or grey and nothing changes.

Disable Proton for all games. The moment you enable Proton for all games, all games become Proton-supported so the "Runs on Linux" filter rightfully includes all games.

If you enable Proton only for supported titles, then the filter will work as you expect.

Thank you, I just found that out this evening while setting up another Linux Mint system for a family member.

Now I would just like a way to sort out native Linux games, and or sort by ProtonDB Rating.

It's not "rightfully" at all. Just because I want the ability to try to force games to run on Proton doesn't mean I don't want to know if the game has a native Linux port.

More importantly, it only hinders the user experience. Now there is a button that literally does nothing. What is the purpose of this button? Buttons that do nothing is not good UI design.

The "workaround" is to uncheck a setting that forces you to restart Steam. Does this sound like good UI design? Forcing you to relaunch the client for the filter button to do what it's supposed to do, then restart again if you want to try to force Proton? Why could it not just work the same with or without Proton enabled? This "ummm achhhtually technically it's rightfully so" mindset benefits nobody.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
