Steam logs me out every time

Every single time i close google chrome Steam logs me out. I have indeed checked "remember me" and it still does it.
Things ive tried:
-Reinstalling Chrome
-Clearing history and cookies
-Removed all my extensions

Clearing cookies WILL mean you have to relog.

I cleared cookies to try to solve the problem... and i logged in and checked remember me 20 times already and still does it

Clearing cookies IS what's causing the problem. If you want your login to be maintained, DO NOT CLEAR THEM. Every single time you do this, you will have to relog regardless of the remember me box being ticket. Cookies are there to collect this very information.

I dont think you understand what im saying. I cleared cookies only ONCE AFTER i started getting this problem. And then i logged back in multiple times without clearing cookies... and i still have it

Thank you, this works. But sadly its only a temporary fix. Hopefully valve fixes it soon so we dont have to have to continue where we left off forever

I was affected mobile as well.

A lot of cookie related issues.

Trading was affected for many users

That's a developer and he also runs Steamdb.

Lets hope his tweet gets more notice then our threads and support tickets.

I tried editing the cookies myself. It worked for a few hours and it still managed to log me out eventually.

I had the same problem and i cleared the cookies.

Same issue for me in my usual browser (Brave)

And I just tried in Edge which I never use so shouldn't have had any cookie issues and it has the same problem.

It;s a change on their end. Nothing we can do about. I've tried editing the cookies to no avail. It still logged me out. Doesn't matter which browser.

So until they revert the changes. We're stuck dealing with this crap.

Someone told me this which seems to work :)

login to the store now
for chrome, press F12, click the application tab, then click cookies on the left
find steamLoginSecure, change "Session" to "2023-03-13T14:10:30.000Z" or another date far into the future (without quotes)
change steamRememberLogin to the same date too
