[SOLVED] Mic is detected but not working in Steam & Steam games

My detachable mic connects through a USB sound card of the Razer BlackShark V2.

My mic stopped working in Apex months ago and I thought it was only that game. The USB sound card is detected as it shows its name in the settings, but the voice chat icon is not there. Then I tested my mic in steam and it also could not pick up my voice even though the mic is detected. I tried changing "Voice Transmission Type", but to no avail.

I am sure the mic is working properly as it does work in Discord, Skype and the voice test in Windows 10.

FYI, my mic is set as the "Default Device" & "Default Communication Device" and all other playback/recording devices have been disabled. I have tried disabling audio enhancements, changing my Steam password, reinstalling Apex & Steam, turning the Microphone Access off then back on, updating my audio drivers, letting Steam record my mic, followed every tip listed on Steam Support page regarding microphone issues, uninstalled Geforce Experience as well.

I would appreciate every single help. I desperately want to use voice chat in games....

Start -> Settings -> Sound -> Microphone privacy settings -> Allow microphone on that game

Other solution is to go in app volume and device preferences and make sure your input for Apex Legends is set to your desired Microphone

I have allowed "desktop apps to access your microphone" option. For some reason, I cannot allow access on specific apps. So, I think once the option is allowed, every desktop app is allowed to access my mic.

I have allowed "desktop apps to access your microphone" option. For some reason, I cannot allow access on specific apps. So, I think once the option is allowed, every desktop app is allowed to access my mic.

I dont really remember how that excatly works. Try my second advice :D (While game is open)

Make sure the mic is selected in default in windows sounds settings from desktop. Also check ingame settings and steam settings. If you tried everything correctly what i said and still doesnt works, i will try to find diffirent way to fix that problem..

(sorry for late i got notification only now) Did you done this one correctly? settings -> sound -> app volume and drive preferences; there you can see apex legends and easly change microphone (which one you are using). Far as i remember apex need origin launcher and go in origin settings too and make sure everything is correct out there. I dont have any other idea yet how to fix it. I hope this one will help...

Last thing that comes in my mind: go in steam settings -> broadcasting -> allow record my microphone. I wish it works..
