[Ubuntu 22.04] Games do not recognise thrust or rotation axes on Logitech Extreme 3D Pro
I have recently acquired a Logitech Extreme 3D pro for use with flight sims, however when testing it out in a game called Nuclear Option, I have found myself unable to use the thrust or rotation axes of the joystick. The buttons and X and Y movement of the joystick work fine, and thrust and rotation are recognised with joystick-gtk, however despite being recognised by joystick-gtk thrust and rotation are unable to picked up in-game. I have tried to follow the instructions in this thread,[askubuntu.com] however I repeatedly run into an issue where the PID and VID registries do not stay deleted when using protontricks to delete them.

Found a fix for this by launching with elevated privileges. Hope it helps.

What do you mean by elevated privileges? And if it still works how do you do it?
