if I ask Steam to permanently remove a game from my library, will it still show on my profile?
Like on my profile list of games in playtime order. If a game is permanently removed from the library, does it still appear on this list?

Thanks

It will be removed (hidden) from the All Games list, yes. For you and everyone else.

Unlike how Private games works, hiding it from everyone else.

It's basically an advanced Hide function. Everything is still on your account but no longer seen as being on your account.

The process is reversible. You can play with it and see for yourself.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "everything is still on your account but no longer seen as being on your account?" Does the game still appear on my profile list of games played with x hours?

I want to remove that game because currently it sits on top of the list with no.1 playtime because I played a crap ton of it years ago for like 10 years. I don't play it anymore since new version of it is out and even newer one coming out, and I want my favorite games to occupy the top of the list but as it stands they have no chance of beating the playtime record...

If you want to hide games from your profile you should use the new Game Privacy function

https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/1150-C06F-4D62-4966

This hides these things from others

Note that removing a game DOES NOT remove any previous achievements, notifications, etc.

yeah I know about privacy setting, not what I'm asking for or care about here. I want to remove that game for my own eyes.

Like I said, you can play around with the "remove" function to test it out yourself.

yup it worked, now games I actually still play is on top of the list :D
Just curious how I would get it back, even if it won't apply to this game. Coz Steam says the action is "permanent" and I see I need to "purchase" the game now in the store.

Go through the same steps as removing but select, "it's not in my library" and then, "restore previously removed package."
