cant download DOOM demo because of an "invalid platform"

I say on another post that I might want to turn on "compatibility mode" or something but I don't know where I would do that. I am using a Chromebook pro so I don't have the highest quality on my games or downloads and I am using a beta form of steam so it works better on systems that aren't $2000 PCs.

Chromebook uses an ARM64 processor which is technically incompatible with x86_64 applications.

The error message is correct.

Compatibility mode is a Microsoft option.
