Way to record in SDR while playing in HDR with NVIDIA App/Shadowplay?

I don't want HDR clips/files. They're a nightmare for a lot of editing software and the render times are insane. Is there a setting I'm missing with Geforce that will allow me to capture SDR while still playing in HDR? OBS is great and all, but there a couple of problems(at least on my PC). OBS allows you to tone map HDR content quite well. Unfortunately, I have a about three games I like to play that crash when OBS is open for whatever reason. Just a few though. Very strange.

I also just prefer the convenience of the NVIDIA stuff. I just want to know if there is something I'm missing that I can adjust to record in SDR while still enjoying the games in HDR.

Did you find a way? Or I have to convert hdr to sdr with davinci?
