Shopping without knowing
hi everyone
today around 12:33pm I woke up with my wallet at zero... how did they manage to steal from my account, I checked the history and found out that I bought an item worth 68 euros, an item of 0.03 cents each and a game that didn't at least he played me...
later I found who he goes to but I can't find his profile at least "burgonyazabalo"
what advice do you have, I opened a ticket to steam but I read several forums and very much steam does not help you in this regard... how did you solve this problem?

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Secure your account (see post #1).

Steam does not return stolen wallet funds.

How can I reverse or cancel a completed Community Market transaction and/or get a refund?

All purchases are final – you will not have any right to a refund or a reversal of any Community Market transaction once it is completed.

You have to find out how someone got access to your account.

  • Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
  • Have you been asked to register for a tournament?
  • Have you used any third-party site for gambling, trading or matchmaking?
  • Have you logged in on a public device?
  • Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
  • Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
  • Have you talked to an "admin" after being "accidentally reported"?
  • Does someone else use your PC or your account?

Have you already secured your account?

How do I contact Steam Support?

Visit https://help.steampowered.com for help with your issue.

Select the most relevant option on the page and the Help site will guide you to self-solve the issue or send a help request to the Steam Support team.

Keep in mind that Steam does not return stolen wallet funds.

Similar to this:

"Hello, Thank you for contacting Steam Support. I understand your frustration but If activity occurred on your account you do not recognize, it may mean your account or computer has been compromised. Someone may have gained access to your Steam account through spoofing, phishing, or malware. As an immediate first step, you should take some action to secure your Steam account from further access. Our article on account security recommendations is a good start toward securing your Steam account. If you suspect your computer is infected with malware, we have some tips for removing malware from your computer here. It may be a good idea to contact a local computer security expert if you're having trouble removing this malware. Additionally, all Community Market transactions are final and cannot be reversed or refunded. When an item is purchased from the Community Market, the cost is sent from the buyer's Steam wallet to the seller's. Reversing these purchases would mean we have to take funds out of the seller's wallet, creating confusion and possible purchasing issues across Steam. I'm sorry we can't be of more help with this, but we don't reverse or refund Community Market purchases and sales."

The return terms and conditions are crap, it's clear in the history that I didn't want to buy an item for 68 euros after buying the same item 20 times just to hide what I did.And Steam hides that they don't care that my account was hacked, but I didn't even receive a notification that by deed

It's already the 3rd time I've had this happen and Steam says my account has been compromised. Without following up on the account where the money ends up.

At no point during your relentless blame game did you stop to consider "Wait a moment ... what if the fault lies with me?"

Every compromised account is the result of either phishing or malware. No exceptions. It's standard practise, btw. Which is why regulars on the forums already have the copy/paste with the steps to secure the account ready.

*You* are responsible for the security of your account. That it happened 3 times already shows that you are very not being responsible with account security, internet security or device security.

People who in the past abused the return policy or were careless (because Valve returned items) are the reason the policy changed years ago. So if you don't like the current policy, blame your fellow gamers who, like you, didn't practise proper security.
