Restart the devices. Test every device one by one, which one causes the downloads.
Also make sure you know all devices connected to the wifi
I restarted it 3 times and I completely stopped downloading stuff 2 days ago
Shut off your router and unplug all cables / wires too as well as power source and TAE !!
Wait 5 minutes, then shut on the router again and while it is booting up plugin all cables / wires again, too.
Could be an ISP issue or an overloaded / overheated / old router problem ..
Additionally ::
Use at least wpa2 encryption.
If downloads stop, someone got access to your wifi before.
I mean I checked on the official website and my mom's phone seems to be slowing down the download speed but she's at work rn and it's still being like this
or you can find the device that causes it.
You can also try another wifi channel. For example channel 1, 6 or 11.
Try out things, by talking about them you do not solve it.
