adding fortnite to steam as a non steam game

i wanted to add fortnite to my library as a joke with my friends and its not working
it says "please launch the game through epic games launcher" and i wanted to know if there is a way to run it through steam

No. You cannot because developers decide what luncher to use when open this game. In this case, epic launcher.

imagine you're on linux and you want to add to steam an exclusive ubsoft game only available on epic and that need epic:
so you launch lutris then it launch steam, then it launch epic then it launch ubisoft connect that finally launch your game .... that can be quickly become crazy ...
