Steam Icon Not Showing Properly in Task Bar (Windows 11)
I recently removed some old mechanical HDDs from my PC while forgetting the Steam application was installed on one of them. I reinstalled Steam on my C:\ drive and everything works fine except that the Steam icon on the task bar (not the system tray) showed as a white page icon instead of the Steam icon.

I followed some steps from Google and deleted my icon cache, that changed the icon from the white page to the generic app icon (white rectangle with a blue rectangle in the middle and some horizontal lines on either side).

I uninstalled Steam again, made sure all the program files and folders were delete and cleaned my registry with CCleaner and reinstalled Steam but the icon hasn't changed.

It's hardly critical but kinda annoying. Anyone got any other suggestions on how to get it back to normal?

Look up an icon collection site and pick one. Then look up how to change icons.
Your system isn't recognising the Steam app ,obviously. When you reinstalled the app you may have inadvertently opted out of it showing on your desktop.
