When I'm running at maximum frame rates (which is around 360) my 7900xtx GPU clock speed is around 2750. Is it supposed to be this high?

I have a 7900xtx I noticed the higher my framerates get the higher the GPU clock speed goes. It seems like at this level things get unstable but I'm not sure if this is supposed to be happening. Is 2750 too high?

it's above the boost clock which is 2500 MHz. There are models from certain manufacturers that deliver OC models which preprogrammed higher boost clocks.

If the GPU doesn't overheat or crash, there won't be anything to be concerned about. It's configured by the manufacturer after all.

If you had tampered with the OC settings, you already broke warranty.

That's rather fundamentally vice versa -- but that aside, just a warning that 2750 (MHz) sounds very much like an (AIB, such as Sapphire) 7900XTX GPU-memory clock rather than GPU-core. I.e., also be sure you're looking at the right thing. GPU-Z can be useful.

Holy cow, you just blew my mind. I am using Sapphire. I also checked my clock limits and saw that it was set at 2975. Unbelievable. Would lowering my max clock speed fix the problem?

Are you specifically on the "Sapphire RX 7900 XTX Nitro+ Vapor-X"? I.e., as per

If so then 2970 MHz GPU-core boost seems to be as per above its default (and therefore fine) and even lower than the AMD reference value so that would not need adjustment. 2750MHz for the GPU-memory would seemingly still be an overclock. You again ideally check via f.e. GPU-Z what is what.

The question in any case is what you feel to be a problem. As #1 said, if it's not overheating and stable it's (in essence) fine; you supposedly didn't buy a rather beastly graphics card to then have it take it easy.

That said and again, 2750MHz if indeed it is a memory speed (the "50" just sound a bit like it would be, hence my insistence) then that's an overclock also for that model, and could possibly be turned down a bit. 2500MHz would be GPU-memory standard on that card, again as per the above link.
