Refund Item Bought by Hacker
Hi, i just got my account hacked (probably by login cache aince no confirmation etc on ateam guard) and teh hacker selling my items.

For the sold items, nothing can do... But can i create ticket to refund the bought item? Hacker buying junk item to inject someone wallet,, and i wish to regain my money.. is it possible?

If possible, how to create the ticket? Tried to email steam support but got auto reply that the email support is terminated / not monitored..

Thanks

Got reply from steam support

Tldr : cant refund

Additionally, all Community Market transactions are final and cannot be reversed or refunded. When an item is purchased from the Community Market, the cost is sent from the buyer's Steam wallet to the seller's. Reversing these purchases would mean we have to take funds out of the seller's wallet, creating confusion and possible purchasing issues across Steam.

I'm sorry we can't be of more help with this, but we don't reverse or refund Community Market purchases and sales.

Under steam refund policy here

https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds

You can't ask for refunds for items in the steam account inventory

PURCHASES MADE OUTSIDE OF STEAM

Valve cannot provide refunds for purchases made outside of Steam (for example, CD keys or Steam wallet cards purchased from third parties).

Secure your account and learn from it.

Alfanumeric password and steam guard,, any tips to increase account security beside those?

As far as i know,, by using login cache, both can be bypass (there is a .bat script using login cache to switch account)

I'm currently thinking to change pass again to a longger passphrase... But no ide to avoid login cache...

Take the following steps to secure your Steam account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Many thanks for the tips...
For step 1,, is Avast boot scan good enough?

Use malwarebytes. It specializes in this stuff, the malwarescan is free.

You can keep it or delete it after you're done, whatever you prefer, its not an active antivirus, but the scan is the best there is.
