Friend list disappeared

I suddenly find my friend list is gone, and all my friends disconnected. There is only one left who is the recent I added through steam mobile app.

The support team does not answer how and why, just to refuse to recover… Anyone meets this before?

If you believe your account is compromised (which it more than likely is) then you need to do these steps:-

- Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
- Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
- Change your password on a secure device.
- Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
- Revoke the api key (If there is one. The field should be blank.) https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

You can then use this site https://steamid.uk/ to try and locate historic friends.

Thank you. I am not sure if my account was compromised. But I do changed my password. I checked the steamed.uk site, but there is no friends data there.

ngl might be worth reinstalling windows and changing your password again after incase your pc has a RAT. its likely the case if you have been trying to pirate games or downloading from dodgy websites

Changing your password is not enough. That's like changing the locks on your house with the burglars still inside. ALL steps need to be completed in order and without fail because it's the only way to secure your account and device. Changing password with hijackers having access to your account just means they still have access to your account.
