Reusing Trailer Conent for a Youtube Channel
Is it OK to reuse game trailers and images found on the game pages. I want to start a youtube channel and before proceeding would like to know of this is possible. I ha enough read the policy here: https://store.steampowered.com/video_policy it seems to say yes it's OK to use Valve content but the game trailers are by the publishers is this classed as Valve content now? Any help would be fantastic. Thank you.

Steam doesn't own YouTube. But Google might have a problem with it.

I'll be editing it anyway so it won't be just copy and paste. I'm just making sure steam is OK with it being used.

Again, why would Steam care what you plan to do on a platform that it doesn't own?

All trailers like that belongs to the owners of the games and you would need to check if they allow people to reuse their content.

For Valve owned games, they don't care too much. At least not that I've seen.

For games Valve does not own, each and every game dev/pub has their own rules about fair use for their materials. Ask them.

As for music in said trailers, that may ultimately be blocked by copyright from the music label themselves.
