CoD MW3 Season 5 pre Download in Steam?

Hey Ho :))
every time a new season is released in MW3, Steam only starts downloading it as soon as it's released. Whilst everyone is already playing the new season, the download doesn't start for me until then. What setting do I have wrong in my Steam? I can't find a way to download the season a few hours in advance. Since Season 5 is being released today, I would be very grateful for a tip! thx :)

From what I read online and gathered, pre-downloading a Call of Duty season update is only available on both PlayStation and Xbox game consoles unfortunately. Players on PlayStation can start pre-downloading a season update one hour before the launch of the season.

PC doesn't have Season pre-loading.

My brother bought MW3 in battle.net and on his PC he can always start the update on time for the release. My listed problem seems to be due to Steam itself.

The issue is with Activision not wanting you to be able to do it on Steam.
