If you're using a controller, try the Guide button chord:
Guide + A[Xbox] / Cross / B[Nintendo]
If you're using a keyboard, open the Steam BP overlay then use the shortcut Ctrl+2.
If you find the guide button chord doesn't work, open the overlay then use the chord.
After that I find the chord works as intended and opens QAM without me having to go to the overlay first. Found I could resolve this and other QAM <-> guide button chord issues by making a change to the Guide Button Chord layout.
If you're using a gamepad and run into similar issues I can give more info on that.
(Heh, sorry for the mixup 😁. I wrote it as Cross to differentiate it from X, and so didn't include [PlayStation])
HOW DID YOU EVEN FOUND IT
Steam > Settings > Controller > Guide Button Chord Layout > Edit > View Layout
You can also see the commands listed when you're in Big Picture mode and hold the PS button.
