Download stuck at 1.2MB/s
Hi,

I tried restarting the router, clear download cache, different server, etc...nothing works.
To make sure it's not my internet, I checked to see what my download speed would be at different places and I easily hit 20MB/s.

Anyone know what the problem seems to be? Google is not helping and all the solutions people have given were the same I tried that I mentioned at the start of this message.

Thanks!

Are you sure the limiting factor is not your HD?

Hey,

Thanks for your reply.
The HD is a Samsung 970 EVO, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Its cat5E or cat6 for 1gb line or more
and you need such cable because most router/switch is 1gb on own local lan.

https://www.cablek.com/cat5-vs-cat5e-vs-cat6-vs-cat7-vs-cat8-what-are-their-differences

ps.
if you have a older pc with 100mb lan card its recommended you use 5E because if you forget cable type to new pc, then you hurt yourself and also a issue with old cables, that most dont use anymore. or mark them with tape, they did that alot in the old days, now calbe is color so things like that dont happend anymore.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
